Rachel Moir provides clear direction and sound decisions, orchestrating people and numbers by asking powerful questions. She has a diverse professional background spanning 20+ years with organizations of all sizes across industries, and especially enjoys the challenges of start-ups and small businesses.

Her roles have touched almost every business function, allowing Rachel to bring a holistic perspective to the table. She has an uncanny ability to identify and focus on the details leading to big picture objectives, and leverages a combination of a liberal arts and business background to inform her strategic approach and bias towards action.

Rachel is a licensed PMP (Project Management Professional), earned an MBA from the Fox School of Business at Temple University, an MS in Publishing from New York University, and a BS in Corporate Communication from Ithaca College.

She also loves to bake, and has been known to give cookies to her clients.

Improved Cash Flow and Accountability

A client asked us to help improve his company’s accounting processes. As is typical with many small businesses, financial management was pushed aside in favor of revenue-generating activities like developing new business and completing current projects. We stepped in and improved invoicing turnaround by 65%+. Moir Ideas developed an easy-to-follow monthly invoicing reminder and check identification system, enabling payments to be attributed to the correct client. Additionally, Moir Ideas took over the client’s bookkeeping, implementing a robust online system, ultimately freeing the business owner to focus on what he does best -- and preventing untold stress and worry at tax time.

 

New System Implementation

A multi-brand/multi-location company wanted to migrate from multiple systems to a single system to manage its financials, inventory, order processing, and customer data. Moir Ideas coordinated the transition and managed the implementation of the software, making sure it happened in an organized manner. We managed the data migration, verified data consistency, developed and documented new/revised processes, created training guides, tested custom programming, and advised on technical support.
